Make a definite plan of action
Let them know your plans and get their help and support. They need to be aware of what you are about to go through so they can expect mood swings and irritability at times. While you have to use strong willpower to quit smoking, you will also need the support and understanding of those closest to you.
Also by writing down this goal to stop smoking you will be over 50% more likely to achieve it because giving yourself a goal gives you direction.....If you got off a train or plane you wouldn't get into a taxi and tell the driver "take me somewhere" would you? You would him a specific destination, "Hotel XYZ" or where ever. The same must be applied to your life especially to help you stop smoking today.
